Host Families Needed!!
This is the best thing you can do for our Rapids baseball team! Hosting a ball player is similar to hosting foreign exchange students, but much easier (and more fun!)
- What you provide for the players:
- A nice bed (big enough for big guys), access to a TV (for Sports Center) and access to the 'frig.
- Advice, counsel and cheerleading support
- What's not required, but many provide:
- An occasional meal like lunch
- Food in the 'frig when your player comes home from road games at midnight.
- What the players provide:
- Connection to a great Rapids team effort
- Mentoring and a good example (if you have other children in the house)
- Lifelong friendship through college and, maybe, into professional baseball
- What you receive:
- Appreciation from the entire Rapids family
- Acknowledgement in Rapids publications/webpages
- Acknowledgement during Rapids games
- Free Rapid Seasons Passes
- Free League "Host Family" Passes for all away games
- Feeling of participation and assistance to the Rockbridge baseball team effort
- Rapids Team merchandise
- Invitations to the Annual Rapids Family meeting and to various Host Family outings and picnics.
